Event Photo-taking

realised that i have a lot to learn in taking photographs during events.

it's 1 thing to have the freedom to walk around and shoot during rehearsals, but when i have to
1. not block the audience's view,
2. not get into the way of the video crew,
3. not trip over, or trip ANY of the 4 official photographers(they are really anal about falling over),

AND still try to get some decent shots, quite another matter altogether.

it's nothing short of magical, how quickly those photographers can change their lens.

1 moment they are shooting with big ass tele-photo lens

ok maybe not quite this big
and before i could finish thinking to myself: "huh, how to shoot whole concert using that lens?" they have already switched back to a wide-angle lens, while holding on to a totally different lens.

it's like 变脸.

me? i have to sit down, make sure got empty seat beside me, and it'll still take me about 5 mins cos i scared my lens drop. -.-"

i'm still trying very consciously to not always take the some kind of photos, and as a result i get a lot of rubbish photos.

but without trying, we'll never know what would work for us, right? =P

took almost 800 shots in that 4 hours. and deleted about 700 of them. =P
most is really 见不得人.
if i show them to people, i will disgrace myself, my camera, and my lens.

but there are some gems i'm very proud of,
 and here is my favourite.

so now...
who wants to pay me to take shoot their wedding??? $600!!!

then he wonders why his photos are all so dark
