The Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour

disclaimer : if you are not a fan of the Harry Potter series, you should probably stop here. =X



so being huge Potter fans, me of the book and of emma watson, she of the movies, going on the studio tour was something we had to do while we were in London.

booked the tour that included a 1 hour coach ride to the studio, and started with the gift shops

it is ridiculous the variety of things they sell in there. from the usual tshirts, magnets, to replica gowns wore by Hermione and Snape, and everything in between.


tour started with a short guided section in the actual Great Hall where the movie was filmed..

followed by a huge exhibition hall with the props used in the movies.

next section was the behind-behind the scenes about make-up, construction of the sets and props

the finale was the Hogwarts Model, which is a 1:24 scale model of the "actual" Hogwarts.






it was so awe-inspiring that we were just stunned into silence the moment we stepped into the room

there were so many things to see that we spent more than 2 hours inside the studio.
plus, we got to drink butterbeer. =P

only 2 places in the world that sells butterbeer and we've had it at both of them. *geek smug*
